On June 9, Prime Minister Modi, along with 72 other members of the new coalition administration, took the oath of office. Among them, 30 were Cabinet Ministers, five held independent charges, and 36 were Ministers of State.?
The meteorological office forecasted a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius in the nation's capital, where the swearing-in ceremony took place on the lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event was attended by leaders from the Indian Ocean region and neighboring countries, including Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, several corporate leaders including Gautam Adani, his brother Rajesh Adani, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Anand Piramal and many from the Bollywood.
Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister on Sunday for a record-equalling third term, heading a 72-member Union Council of Ministers that put emphasis on continuity, youth and experience while also rewarding partners in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government.
