R Madhavan's Son Vedaant Is Preparing For Olympics 2026; Family Moves To Dubai For His Training
While most of the star kids are prepping up for their acting debut at the age of 16, R Madhavan's son Vedaant, however, has different plans. He is prepping up for Olympics 2026 and his family is supporting him in every way possible.?
Madhavan, his wife and Vedaant have shifted to Dubai due to lack of facilities in India at the moment.?
For the unversed, Vedaant is already a national swimming champion.
"The larger swimming pools in Mumbai are either closed because of Covid or out of bounds. We are here with Vedaant in Dubai where he has access to large pools. He¡¯s working towards the Olympics, and Sarita (his wife) and I are right by his side," Madhavan told Bollywood Hungama.?
Madhavan says he has no regrets that his son doesn't want to be an actor like him. "His chosen vocation is far more important to me than my own career", he said.
Earlier this year, Vedaant has won seven medals for Maharashtra at the junior national aquatic championships in Bengaluru.
At the age of 12,?he won an international swimming competition in Thailand.?His father wrote, "Proud moment for Sarita and I as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand today. Thank you for all your blessings ."
At the Junior Nationals Swim meet, he won three golds and a silver medal.

Vedaant had also won silver for India in swimming at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship.?
