Sampath J Ram Dies By Suicide; Reports Claim Actor Was In Depression Due To Lack Of Good Offers

Popular Kannada actor Sampath J Ram passed away at the age of 35 in an unfortunate incident of suicide. Ram took away his life at his Nelamangala residence in Karnataka. Survived by a wife who he reportedly married just a year ago, Sampath was most popular for his serial Agnisakshi among others.
The news of the young actorĄŻs demise has left the Kannada industry in shock.
Rajesh Dhruva who directed Sampath in his film penned a long note on Facebook and expressed his grief. He wrote in Kannada, "Hey son, we do not have the strength to bear your parting. So many movies are made, there is so much fighting to be done, and there is still plenty of time to make your dreams come true. Your avoided stage still has a lot to offer. Shut up and come back please."
Reports suggest that Sampath was struggling to get good roles.
Last seen in the critically acclaimed movie Sri Balaji Photo Studio, a TOI report quoted about him: Ą°Sampath was in depression as he was not getting offers as he expected which might forced him to take such an extreme step.Ąą The actorĄŻs mortal remains have been kept at a private hospital as of now and will be shifted to his hometown of NR Pura for the final rites that are likely to take place today.
Sampath Jayaram's co-star Vijay Suriya has reacted shockingly to his death and is still to come to terms with the news.
Vijay shared with ETimes TV, "It is very shocking to hear news like this on Akshaya Tritiya. Initially, I thought it was a prank. But, when I made a few calls to check about the news, I got it confirmed. It is indeed shocking and sad news. I did not expect anything like this to happen in his life this soon. He was looking forward to good opportunities as an actor.Ąą
Ą°He wanted to grow heights in his career and was very ambitious. Sampath was a very dear friend to me. I canĄŻt believe that he has left us early."
In his concluding note, Vijay mourned SampathĄŻs death and said, Ą°We donĄŻt know what he going through. At the same time, itĄŻs very difficult to know what they are going through as well. itĄŻs a trigger and one doesnĄŻt know what makes them take this extreme step. This news has been a shock to me and the industry."
