Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra who became the apple of everyone¡¯s eye with Shershaah is celebrating ten years in the entertainment business. Recently in an interview, Sidharth talked about the extremes he saw in this business and that what he thought will work went against him.?
Sidharth who debuted with Karan Johar¡¯s Student of the Year along with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt told IndiaToday, "I have seen the extremes in business. The first film and the third film were more than what I had expected and some of them did the opposite. It does take a toll on any kind of artist."?
¡°I never thought that being easy on the eyes would be a negative in this profession. I thought we were here to face the camera and be easy on the eyes, but sometimes it tends to be negative.¡± He continued, ¡°People like to see superficial things and not really connect to them¡±, he said in the same interview.
Malhotra expressed, "So, after Shershaah, I had moments where I was reading stuff, I went through a rainbow of emotions reading reactions. That is a green sign for any actor. All the hard work paid off after 10 years in the industry. I have had a spur of moments like this in my journey."
In another interview given to Pinkvilla, Sidharth had quoted, ¡°If you don't get that appreciation and love, you really can't fall back on anyone blindly to work with you. I've only made associations with people because they've liked some of my films, or they feel I'm fit for that role. It's not like there have been some easy films to gauge and just get. Every film has been a conversation- some have worked, some haven¡¯t, but the inherent love of the audience or the likability that the audience gives you is the only thing that you hold on to as an actor who comes fresh into the business¡±.
Talking about this film that also stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Nora Fatehi, Sidharth quoted, ¡°The first script that I feel that I, you know, I heard from start to finish, I knew that time it made me laugh and it has a wonderful message by the end. And I knew director Indra Kumar. As I myself have a grip on comedy which I have not completely dive into maybe. I am looking forward to this Diwali that people get to see Thank God.¡±
