We can either sit at home and complain or go out and do something about it. Sonu Sood did just the same. He had written on Twitter that he was heartbroken to see the plight of migrant workers. He said that heart was bleeding to see their pain. A lot of other celebrities also tweeted their anger. But Soonu Sood, in just few days, did what was unimaginable.?
He arranged 10 buses and sent about 350 migrant workers home. Day before yesterday, he sent another 500 migrants back to their home in UP.?
Now, he is gearing up to send another 3000. He is also making arrangement to send the workers stranded in Mumbai to Jharkhand and Bihar.?
He says he will continue sending them home until the last one reunites with his/her family.
"It has been an extremely emotional journey for me as my heart pains to see these migrants staying away from their homes walking on streets," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
"I will continue sending migrants home until the last migrant reunites with his family and loved ones. This is something really close to my heart and I will give it my all," the 46-year-old actor added.
As per arrangements, multiple buses left from Wadala and various parts of UP, including Lucknow, Hardoi, Pratapgarh and Siddharthnagar, as well as to states like Jharkhand and Bihar.
He was there to bid them goodbye. "Goodbye bachcha," he said to a little kid who waved at him and excitedly shouted "bye".
Apart from this, Sonu Sood had donated 1,500 PPE kits to doctors across Punjab and provided his Mumbai hotel for the accommodation of the heathcare workers. Sood has also been feeding thousands of underprivileged people along with providing meal kits to migrants in the Bhiwandi area during the holy month of Ramzan.
