Model-actress Mandana Karimi who was one of the women who accused filmmaker Sajid Khan of sexual harassment announced yesterday that she is quitting Bollywood after Khan made an entry on Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 16. She is aghast that a sexual predator accused by nine women including herself is being promoted on the biggest tv show.
Commenting on the same, she took to Twitter to write, "Iranian actress Mandana Karimi staged a solo protest in Mumbai against the hijab. Why is she alone protesting? Why Muslim women from Mumbai who are forced to wear hijab not joining her?"

For the unversed, Mandana Karimi hails from Iran. She was born in Tehran and had moved to India in 2010 to ersue a modelling career. Last week, the actress shared a 17-minute video in which she can be seen? at Mumbai's bandstand staging a solo protest in support for Iranian women who have also been protesting in the country following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by Iran's morality police.?
Mahsa Amini was arrested for not wearing a hijab. She was beaten up after which she died, claims her family.
"For Iran, for my mother¡¯s tears, for my brother¡¯s broken face and heart, for sleepless nights, for freedom for life", Mandana wrote in the caption.?
In Iran, many women have come down to streets in protest. Many of them took away their headscarves and also chopped their hair.
It has been reported that at least 92 protesters and 12 security personnel have been killed.
He had asked her to remove her clothes if she wanted the role. "If I like what I see, you might get the part," she was told by Khan.
