Many Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Salman Khan have lost the legendary blue tick marks on their respective Twitter accounts for not paying the verification fees.
Twitter officially removed all the blue ticks from its non-paying users on April 20, 2023.
According to the new rules, the verification mark on Twitter appears only on the accounts which use its paid service, which costs USD 11 (Rs. 904.02) per month through the in-app payment and USD 8 ( Rs. 657.47) per month via the web and on Android and iOS.
Other than SRK, Priyanka, Salman, veteran star Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar,?Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Rajinikanth,?Ajay Devgn,?Bhatt?have also lost?their verified status?in the wake of Elon MuskĄ¯s new set of guidelines for the users of his platform.
Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra's husband and American singer Nick Jonas continues to have verified status on the popular social media platform.?
According to reports, Pathan star SRK has over 42 million followers and is super active on Twitter.?
The superstar's 'Ask Me Anything' or AMA sessions on Twitter often makes headlines.?
On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan has over 45 million people following him on the Elon Musk-owned platform, while Akshay Kumar also has over a whopping 45 million fan following on his now unverified Twitter account.
SRK's last post from his verified Twitter account was related to Sachin Tendulkar's son's involvement in IPL this year.?
