High profile celebrities attended the major event held at Mumbai's YRF Studios on Tuesday. Newly wed couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal to ex-couple Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, and star kids, almost everyone from the industry attended the lavish birthday bash of Karan Johar decked up in glamorous attires. However, there were some who didn't make it to the event.?
According to ETimes, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Virat Kohli were quite a few celebrities missing from Karan Johar’s 50th birthday party. But why? Actress Deepika Padukone, who has made India proud with her position at Cannes 2022 wasn't available for KJo’s birthday party. The actress, who is also known to be one of KJo's favourites, was busy fulfilling her duties at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival where she is a member of the jury.?
Suhana Khan is another who was missing all the action of KJo's lavish party while her mother Gauri Khan and Aryan Khan were present at the event. Reportedly, Suhana Khan is very close to KJo but she is currently busy with her debut movie. Moreover, the starlet, who recently celebrated her 22nd birthday in Ooty, is filming her first acting project alongside her BFF and star kid Khushi Kapoor.?
Hence, she couldn't make herself available for the bash. Alia Bhatt, who was launched in Bollywood by Karan Johar is one of his favourites in the industry. The two are often spotted hanging out and?taking selfies?together. However, she too had to skip the bash this year. Reportedly, Alia Bhatt is busy with her work?abroad. However, her husband?Ranbir Kapoor?represented her at the event alongside his mother Neetu Kapoor, who was dressed in white, to KJo's party.
While Anushka Sharma stunned everyone wearing a sultry black dress, her cricketer husband Virat Kohli was missing. Reportedly, the actress had to go solo as Virat Kohli is busy with an ongoing cricket tournament. Malaika Arora, whp also left eyes-popping with her bold outfit made a solo appearance at Karan Johar’s birthday party as her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor is in Nainital for his upcoming film The Lady Killer.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar took the opportunity to announce his next directorial venture (an action film) during his bash. “I would like to announce my next directorial feature…Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release on the 10th of February 2023 and I will commence the shooting of my Action Film in April 2023.” Karan Johar wrote on his official social media handle. However, KJo is yet to reveal more details about the project.
