When a Twitter user recently said that Amber Heard deserved to be assaulted, Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker was enraged.?
This happened after Swara Bhasker extended support to Amber Heard. In a tweet, she shared an article that described the trial as an 'orgy of misogyny'. She requested people to read it.
In response to that, a Twitter user wrote, "I like you but Heard deserved that".

This didn't go down well with Swara Bhasker who slammed the user writing, "Nobody deserves to be sexually assaulted. Nobody. That you think this is deeply disturbing. I pity the women in your life."

She wrote, "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband.
"I'm even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.
"I believe Johnny's?attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so?conclusive that we won in the UK.
"I¡¯m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American ¨C to speak freely and openly."
While the jury found Amber Heard's article defamatory towards Johnny Depp and hence awarded him $15 million compensation, the jury pointed out that Heard was also defamed by Depp's lawyers who said she had created a detailed hoax after roughing up the couple's apartment to look worse for police. The jury, hence, awarded her $2 million.??
