'Horrifying, Gruesome & Tragic', Swara Bhasker Condemns Delhi Murder Case, Demands Harshest Punishment

The chilling details of love, betrayal and murder of a 27-year-old woman in Delhi have left the entire nation in shock. Her live-in partner killed her, and chopped her body into 35 pieces that he later dumped in different areas around Delhi over 18 days. The couple had met at their work place, a call centre.?

The accused identified as Aftab Amin Poonawalla (28), a resident of Mumbai, has been sent to Police remand for five days. The food blogger was reportedly trained as a chef and was adept to cutting meat.?

The incident has left everyone angered. From citizens to Bollywood stars, everyone is condemning the murder. Swara Bhasker who has been vocal about national issues also condemned the "horrifying, gruesome and tragic" incident.?

In a tweet, she wrote, "NO WORDS for how horrifying, gruesome & tragic this case is. My heart goes out to this poor girl-awful betrayal by someone she loved & trusted. Hope the police speedily conclude their investigation & hope this monster gets the harshest punishment he thoroughly deserves. (broken heart emoji)".?

As per a report on TOI,?Poonawalla used to chat with Shraddha Walker's friends on Instagram. He even paid her credit card bills until June to avoid suspicion. She was killed in May. He cleaned the refrigerator and room with chemicals to wipe out all the possible evidence.

Poonawala and Walkar had met through a dating app. When the parents didn't approve of their relationship, she eloped with him. She wasn't in touch with the family, but she would talk to her friends. When her friend lost touch with her and figured that her cell phone had been switched off since July, he informed the family. Her father approached the Police in November. Following this, a Police complaint was registered.?

Aftab?Poonawala reportedly?watched movies and web series like American crime-drama Dexter before the crime.
