Swara Bhasker Receives Death Threat In A Letter For 'Insulting Veer Savarkar', Files FIR
It seems like celebrities getting death threats has become an everyday occurrence. After Salman Khan, Salim Khan and Bigg Boss fame Manu Punjabi, Swara Bhasker is the latest actor from Bollywood to join the bandwagon.?
Swara Bhasker receives death threat
Swara Bhasker has received death threats in a letter, which was sent to her residence in Versova. In the letter which was written in Hindi, the person who issued the threat said that the youth of the country will not tolerate the insult of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar.
A complaint has been lodged
After receiving the letter, Swara Bhasker approached Versova police station two days back. A complaint has been lodged against an unidentified person. "Based on the complaint, we have registered a non-cognisable offense against unidentified persons," an official told PTI.

Bhasker who is known for voicing her opinions on Twitter had written in a post in 2017, "Savarkar APOLOGISED To the British govt. pleaded to be let out of jail! That¡¯s not ¡®Veer¡¯ for sure¡"
In 2019, she had tweeted, "The planned construction of a most cowardly ¡®braveheart¡¯ Understanding 'Veer' Savarkar."
In a similar incident, Salman Khan and Salim Khan had received threats from an unknown person, following which an FIR was lodged.?
"Salim Khan follows a morning routine where he goes for a walk on the promenade accompanied by his security personnel. There's a location where he typically takes a break. A chit had been left behind on a bench," a police officer told?TOI.? ??
"Salim Khan, Salman Khan bahut jald aapka moosewala hoga KGBLB", (soon will make you like Moose Wala)," the letter read as per the report.?
It is suspected that the threat letter to Salman Khan carried the initials of the gangsters -? GB and LB.?While GB refers to Goldy Brar, who had reportedly claimed responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala's murder and LB refers to Lawrence Bishnoi, who had earlier as well threatened to kill Salman Khan and with whom Goldy Brar is associated.? ?
Former Bigg Boss contestant?Manu Punjabi?had revealed that he was threatened to be killed like Sidhu Moose Wala??
It was an extortion call and the person demanded Rs 10 lakhs from him. If not given the asked amount, the person said that he would be killed.??
Following this, Chitrakoot police arrested a 31-year-old man who had sent him that email claiming to be from the?Lawrence Bishnoi?group. He was arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor area. The investigation in the case has already begun.?
Chitrakoot SHO Ram Kishan Vishnoi told TOI, "Without wasting time we sent a team to Bijnor and arrested the accused identified as Kulveer Singh Chauhan alias Tony (31). He is a drug addict and in the threat mail he had not even sent any bank account details to send the money. He was produced in a court from where we have taken him in one-day police custody."??
