Swara Bhasker Shares Her Opinion On Besharam Rang Song Controversy, Calls Debate 'Foolish'

Look like the controversy around Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan song 'Besharam Rang' is not going to die down anytime soon.?As the debate over Besharam Rang continues, Swara Bhaskar is the latest to join the bandwagon to share her opinion on the trending matter.?

The actress, who was last seen in Kamal Pandey's 'Jahan Chaar Yaar' alongside Pooja Chopra, Meher Vij Shikha Talsania, has called the debate over Besharam Rang 'foolish' as per latest reports.

Reportedly, actress Swara Bhasker has insisted ministers and elected representatives should bring their attention to matters that concern the well-being of the citizens and not "whip up communal frenzy."

"Ministers and elected representatives, who frankly should focus their attention on real issues of their constituents and the public, find that targeting Muslims or whipping up communal frenzy is a good way to be in the news,” she said during an interview with ETimes.?

She also said, “They use people’s faith for political gain and frankly that’s despicable and dangerous" and added that “communal rhetoric, bigotry, Islamophobia and hate are political currency.”?

Pathaan's Besharam Rang song has taken the internet by storm ever since it hit YouTube. After receiving much hate on social media for the song, Shah Rukh Khan indirectly addressed the issue at the opening ceremony of the recent Kolkata International Film Festival.?

Amid threats from politicians to banning the film in various states, Shah Rukh Khan is busy shooting his next film Dunki with Rajkumar Hirani in Mumbai.?

The reason Besharam Rang is being targeted is because of the colours of the costumes worn by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the song.
