Amid the raging controversy with?Bade Miyan Chote Miyan?director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer?Vashu Bhagnani's old sting operation in which he admits to money laundering has resurfaced. In the video, he explained how production houses and distributors can help turn people's black money into white.

In the sting operation, an undercover reporter meets him posing as an investor who wants to launder his black money. The man known for producing films like?Coolie No.1?and?Bade Miyan Chote Miyan tells him, "The person needs to be genuine. We should not get caught by income tax officials." When the reporter insists on investing Rs 10 crores, he says,?"Eight crore in cash and two crore cheque. But the paper work will be only for 2 crore."?
He also tells him how black money can be converted into white via distribution rights. He says that he can buys the?all-India distribution rights of his upcoming films for Rs 100 crore. "On 13th, I'm starting Ajab Gazabb Love...?There is Jackky (Bhagnani), Kiron Kher, Sanjay Arshad Warsi and Arjun Rampal (in the film). For 100 crore, I'll give you rights for 18 films.?We will share the profit you make. This way your money gets white and you get its perfect value," he said.?
Vashu Bhagnani however denied that any black money was used in his film. He instead told India Today that he was joking. "I was only humouring the investor.?We can easily make out who can put in that kind of money."
Meanwhile, Ali Abbas Zafar has accused the producer of not paying his dues. He has accused Pooja Entertainment of not paying him Rs 7.30 crores, which was his fee for directing the film. In return, Bhagnanis have filed a police complaint against him at the Bandra police station accusing him of fraud, cheating, criminal intimidation, misappropriation of funds, fabrication of invoices, criminal conspiracy, money laundering as well as harassment.
