On Saturday, filmmaker Atlee made an appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show as he gears up for the release of his new film, Baby John, which stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. During a section, Internet users thought host Kapil Sharma was trying to make fun of the director's look. While Kapil Sharma got massively trolled for his question, people sided with Atlee for his reaction.

Kapil asked Atlee, "Has it ever happened that you went to meet a star and they didn't recognise you? Have they asked where is Atlee?" Giving him an epic reply, Atlee said, , "Sir, in a way I understood your question. I'll try to answer. I am very thankful to AR Murugadoss sir because he produced my first film. He asked for the script, but he didn't see how I am looking and whether I am capable of it or not, but he loved my narration."?
