Naga Chaitanya, who tied the knot with Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4 last year, has finally broken his silence on his highly talked-about first marriage and his much-controversial divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu.?
On the Raw Talks With VK podcast, Naga Chaitanya, also known as Chay, opened up about his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu.?
He explained that their decision to part ways was mutual and taken with respect for each other. "We wanted to go our own ways. For our own reasons, we have taken this decision and we respect each other. We are moving on in our lives, in our own way. What more explanation is needed, I don't understand,"?he said, urging the media and audience to respect their privacy.?
However, he expressed frustration over how their personal lives became a subject of entertainment. "Unfortunately, it is a headline. It became a topic or gossip. It became entertainment."
Chaitanya further shared that both he and Samantha had moved forward with dignity and had no ill feelings toward each other. "I've moved on with so much grace. She has moved on with so much grace. We are leading our own lives. I have found love again. I am so happy, and we have so much respect for each other."
He also addressed the public scrutiny he has faced, questioning why he was being unfairly targeted. "It's not like it's only happening in my life, so why am I treated like a criminal?"
Reflecting on the end of their marriage, the actor revealed that the decision was not taken lightly. "It was for the betterment of whoever was involved in the marriage. Whatever the decision was, it was a very conscious decision after much thought and with a lot of respect for the other person."
Coming from a broken family himself, he admitted that he deeply understood the consequences of separation. "I will think a thousand times before breaking a relationship because I know the repercussions¡ It was a mutual decision."
Although he acknowledged feeling bad about the way things ended, he remained optimistic about the future.?
"It's not like it happened overnight for me to feel down. I feel bad that it happened, but everything happens for a reason. You build yourself, you keep progressing, and you will find the right path soon. That's happened to me."
