SRK Made Notes For Legal Team And 'Gave Up' Professional Commitments, Says Aryan Khan's Lawyer

A distressed Shah Rukh Khan took a sigh of relief as his son was finally granted bail in the drugs case.?Aryan Khan was in Arthur Road jail for close to a month in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case.

According to India's former Attorney General Mukul? Rohatgi, who represented him in the Bombay High Court, SRK welcomed the decision of bail of his son Aryan with "tears of joy."

NDTV report claims that Mr. Rohatgi hinted that SRK had "given up all his professional activities."

In the same interview, Mr. Rohatgi said,

"He has been very worried the last three-four days that I was there, and I'm not even sure whether he had proper meals. He was having coffee after coffee. And I could see a big sense of relief, yeah, on the father's face last time I met him.”

Aryan’s arrest became a matter of concern for the Khan family as his bail was rejected twice, following which, he had to spend 24 days in jail.

According to reports and court protocols, the release of all arrested will happen after High Court's written order today.

Talking about Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan and how ‘traumatic’ the last few weeks were for them, Mr. Rohatgi added,?

"Unfortunately, they had lost in the lower court. So it came to the High Court, and one month has gone by. And the parents were very, very worried. That is why they were taking a very great interest in the case".

What were the arguments that led to Aryan Khan's bail in High Court?

1. In Bombay High court, Mr. Rohatgi argued that no drugs were found on Aryan Khan, and Narcotics Control Bureau had very 'flimsy' grounds for their arrest.??

2. He suggested that NCB's case against Aryan was built entirely on two-year-old WhatsApp chats that were "irrelevant" and had nothing to do with the cruise. Under the circumstances, the arrest, he contended, was wrong and infringed on Aryan Khan's constitutional guarantees.

3. Mr. Rohatgi denied the special court's argument that Aryan Khan knew about the charas hidden in his friend Arbaaz Merchant's shoe, which amounted to "conscious possession.” Calling the view far-fetched, Mr. Rohatgi said, "here is no question of conscious possession. Arbaaz is not my servant; he is not in my control".

Here are the bail conditions proposed by the NCB:

i) The accused shall surrender his passport before the special court.

ii) The accused shall not make any statement about the proceeding mentioned above pending before the court.

iii) The accused shall not personally or through anyone make any attempt to influence or tamper with the evidence.

iv) If the applicant has to go out of Greater Mumbai, he shall inform the investigating officer.

v) The applicant shall attend the NCB Mumbai office every Friday between 11 am to 2 pm.

vi) The accused shall attend all the dates in court unless prevented by any reasonable cause.

vii) Once the trial begins, the accused shall not in any manner try to delay the trial.

viii) If the accused violates any of these terms, NCB shall be entitled to apply to the special judge/court for cancellation of his bail.

The Bombay High Court granted Aryan Khan, his friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha bail on 28th October, but that did not indicate their release from jail on that very day.??
