Exclusive: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 may outperform Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in Hindi on day 1

Pushpa 2, which hit the screens today (December 5), is one of the biggest films of the year. The actioner, a sequel to Pushpa (2021), has created a great deal of buzz among fans with its striking posters and power-packed trailer. This is expected to help the film script history in Hindi by outperforming Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan at the box office.

Pushpa 2 to open to a terrific response in Hindi

Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, is expected to open better than the Shah Rukh Khan-led Jawan in Hindi. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade tracker, the film will collect around Rs 75 crore (nett) in Hindi on its first day.?

“I see it collecting nearly Rs 75 crore in Hindi alone. The film has become a rage as it is a sequel to Pushpa. Moreover, Allu Arjun’s stardom spreads to the Hindi belt also. Additionally, the mass audience wants to watch such entertainers on the first day,” he told Indiatimes.

If this is indeed the case, Pushpa 2 will beat Jawan to secure the highest opening for any film in Hindi. The Shah Rukh Khan-led film collected Rs 65.5 crore in Hindi when it hit the screens in 2023.?

The trailer of Pushpa 2 was launched in Bihar amid much fanfare. This and the popularity of the first part have helped the action drama become a rage in Hindi.?

Pushpa 2 is an actioner that centres on the events that transpire when the titular character (Allu Arjun) locks horns with deadly foes in his quest for power.? The actioner stars Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and is billed as a game-changer for the ‘National Crush’. She plays Srivalli, the protagonist’s wife, in the sequel.? The second chapter of the Pushpa saga also features Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Jagapathi Babu, and Ajay Ghosh in key roles. Sreeleela will be seen in the Kissik song. Its music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, best known for his work on films such as Maharshi and Rangasthalam. Pushpa 2 hit the screens on December 5.
