Katy Perry is currently In Mumbai, India for a concert and all her fans are finding it difficult to stay calm. The pop sensation is in India after 7 long years and she is damn excited about it. She has a lot on her plate, right from announcing that she'll be performing at Women's T20 World Cup final on International Women's day to her engagement to Orlando Bloom and their exotic Egyptian vacation, she is now all set to enthrall the Indian audience at the OnePlus Music Festival along with Dua Lipa on the 16th of this month
Indiatimes got an opportunity to chat with her, where we spoke to her about her favourite music and food, what keeps her motivated in life and everything in between.

To begin with, we asked her what her favourite track is at the moment, she said, ¡°Honestly, it may be kind of like 50s soul, or like Chet Baker or jazz or stuff that kind of sets a scene. Sometimes, it can be romantic, but just a vibe. If I'm working out, which is rare, I like to listen to whatever is new."
Katy has time and again spoken about dealing with depression, when asked if we will ever see her making songs on the same topic, she said, ¡°Oh, yeah, I already do make such songs. I write songs about all the feelings, not just love and heartbreak, but definitely about mental health, depression and about what we're all going through right now, how sometimes it feels a little chaotic in the world. Also, about how young people feel a little disconnected in this era.?
So yeah, I do write empowering songs to try and get people out of that funk. Because usually, I'm in that funk. And so I'm writing a song for myself to shake myself out of that negative mood, and then it becomes a song that everyone sings along. It's a range of emotions.¡°

When asked who has been her inspiration throughout, she said, ¡°For me, my inspiration is a range of people. It's my sister with her children and the way she raises them. Then it's Oprah Winfrey being a boss lady. Dolly Parton always having a quick wit and having fun with it all but still being such a serious musician and a fabulous songwriter. You know, looking up to people like Beyonce - someone who always puts her best foot forward, even after so many years of being in the music industry. Those are the people that I look up to in a way.¡±
We quizzed the diva on what keeps her motivated, she said, ¡°What keeps me motivated in life is that I still have stories to share. And I'm excited to evolve and keep having different dreams. For me, it's all about having a perfect work-life balance. After doing it for almost 12 years now, and being 35, which is very young, it's one-fourth of my life, I hope. But I'm excited to continue to spread my light and joy and happiness and hopefulness, and help lead people in a way to positivity.¡±

Now that Katy is in Mumbai, she will be partying with lots of Bollywood people, as Karan Johar is hosting a special party for her, we quizzed her what¡¯s one question she wants to ask them to which she very honestly replied,
¡°Oh my gosh! Well, I just want to know in general, like how many movies is appropriate to make in one year like literally, if you're the most famous Bollywood person, actor, actress, whatever, how many movies are you making in one year because back home in Hollywood, people make like one every two years or something. But I know that the business is so booming that they make more.¡±
Lastly, we asked her what¡¯s her favourite Indian food which she is going to relish during her stay, she happily said, ¡°Favourite Indian food would be butter chicken, dal and I love naan, but then I go to sleep sometimes after that.¡±
