After his politically charged show Patriotic Act went viral and embroiled controversies for taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi while trying to analyse the current state of politics and break down Lok Sabha elections 2019, Hasan Minhaj and his crew was reportedly not allowed to enter the venue where PM Modi¡¯s event 'Howdy Modi' took place.
The mega-event, which took place at the NRG Stadium in Houston and was jointly addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, was attended by 50,000 of the Indian-American community.

According to a video doing the rounds, Hasan Minhaj talked to a media coordinator on loudspeaker via his mobile phone. In the call, he is enquiring about his credentials for the event.
¡°We're just trying to get our credentials,¡± Hasan said.
¡°There are no credentials,¡± the coordinator replied.
¡°But our credentials are right here,¡± Minhaj told him and added, ¡°But you told me we were denied because of the jokes.¡±
¡°No, I didn't say you were denied because of the jokes,¡± replied the coordinator.
"But some people were not happy,¡± said Minhaj.
To this, the coordinator replied, ¡°Yeah, some people were not happy, but that doesn't matter to me much. The reason I can't get you in is due to the lack of space for broadcast crews."
Here¡¯s how people reacted!

Neither the coordinator nor Hasan Minhaj has yet clarified whether he and his crew were allowed the enter the venue. He, however, posted a picture in which he could be seen standing in front of the venue.
"Here to celebrate two great nations coming together. India first. But America first too. #HowdyModi," Minhaj wrote in the caption.
