Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are working through their differences for the sake of their children, but it seems like the estranged couple is having a hard time communicating. JLo's tell-all with Interview Magazine where she dived deep into the intricacies of her divorce and her plans for life ahead has Ben in shock who was reportedly not given a 'heads-up'. Lopez filed for divorce in August but the pair was living separate lives since April.

Jennifer Lopez recently got candid for the first time about her divorce from Ben Affleck. An insider has now revealed how Ben felt about Lopez going public with information about their divorce which has not publicly been announced. The source told Ok! Magazine that the Gone Girl actor did not “get a heads up” but “he assumed that it would eventually happen."??The source further added, “Ben knows that she will talk about the breakup forever. He would love for her not to talk about it, but he feels she will always speak out." It added that his whirlwind romance with JLo was a part of his life just as much as anything else and he's never going to get away from it.

Despite a turbulent summer, JLo is keeping her held high. The Jenny on the Block singer is optimistic about her future and does not regret the past. A source told PEOPLE, “Instead of feeling like she's fallen flat on her face, she sees it was meant to be. She's taking time for herself right now."

“She knows she lives a privileged life in so many ways. She's very grateful for all the beautiful memories with Ben,” the insider added. “But she's now focused on creating the best future for herself and her kids.”
