The Birds of a Feather crooner, who graced the Vogue magazine's November cover, said how she wishes she never spoke up about her sexuality, adding she is not revealing who she is dating ever again. The 22-year-old singer had faced backlash over candid comments that she made about her sex life earlier this year.
Billie Eilish has decided to keep her personal life under wraps, specifically her sexuality and dating life. Her recent statement comes after her previous comments on her sexuality backfired on social media. Her relationship with Jesse Rutherford and Matthew Tyler Vorce also garnered intense media attention.
?"I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever,?ever," Eilish told Vogue in the story published Tuesday. "And I hope that they never will again. And I'm never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I'm never talking about who I'm dating ever again."
The Grammy-winning singer made headlines and sparked controversy when she went candid about her sexual experiences during an April interview with?Rolling Stone.
"I talk about sex any time I possibly can," she said then. "That's my favorite topic." "My experience?as a woman?has been that it's seen in such a weird way," Eilish said. "People are so uncomfortable talking about it, and weirded out when women are comfortable in their sexuality and communicative in it."
The Happier Than Ever hitmaker?went on to add that self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of her life as well as a huge, huge help for her due to the extreme body dysmorphia she has had her entire life.
In the new Vogue interview, Eilish said that she often "underestimates that things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world," and added, "We're all?babies.?We're all little kids growing up and learning ourselves."
Eilish, who is among other A-listers?like Taylor Swift supporting Kamala Harris' bid for Presidency in the upcoming US Election, also told Vogue why she is supporting the vice president.? ?
"A lot of my fans are going to be able to vote for the first time. So I'm like, 'Do you like freedom?'" Eilish said. "First female president? Would be really amazing. I would love to feel safe as a woman in my country."
Billie Eilish will kick off her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour Friday night at the TD Garden in Boston. This is the first time she will neither be joined by her brother Finneas on the road nor her parents will accompany her during the touring schedule.
