Wednesday Season 3 is already stirring in the cauldron¡ªand no, Season 2 has not even crawled onto our screens yet. What in the name of gothic chaos is happening?
Jenna Ortega, our monochrome queen, has dropped some eyebrow-raising updates that have fans screaming into the void (in the best way). While Netflix has not officially confirmed a third season, Ortega confirmed that the Wednesday writers are already deep in brainstorm mode. No contracts have been summoned from the underworld yet, but the team is not waiting for corporate mortals to catch up. She basically hinted that when a show has this much hype, you stay ten steps ahead. So yeah, Season 3 is unofficially very official.
Meanwhile, Wednesday Season 2 is still in post-production¡ªaka locked in a gothic editing dungeon somewhere. Ortega revealed that she was still doing ADR (additional dialogue recording) just two weeks ago, proving that even after the cameras stop rolling, the chaos never ends. So while fans are thirsting for new episodes, the team is tweaking every last creepy detail.
What can we expect when Season 2 does drop? More horror. Way more. Ortega teased that the new season dives headfirst into slasher territory, and there is literally an episode dedicated to classic horror films. She spilled a juicy detail about her on-screen brother, saying there's a frame of Pugsley with his eyes rolled back and some metal contraption on his head that straight-up gave Full Metal Jacket energy. Um, terrifying and iconic?
And now for the most unhinged casting update: Lady Gaga is joining the madness. Yes, Mother Monster is officially part of the Wednesday universe, and Ortega could not be more obsessed. She described Gaga as wildly talented but surprisingly chill and sweet behind the scenes. Gaga, of course, is keeping her character a big, spooky secret¡ªbut we are living for the mystery.
Joining Gaga in Season 2¡¯s chaos are Steve Buscemi as the new Nevermore Academy director Barry Dort, along with Billie Piper and Joanna Lumley in undisclosed (but probably fabulous and terrifying) roles.
The showrunners have confirmed that the next chapter will be darker, twistier, and even more soaked in Addams family lore. Wednesday¡¯s emotional journey is going deeper, the stakes are higher, and the monsters¡ªinternal and external¡ªare getting nastier.
So here is where we are: Wednesday Season 2 is not even out, and Season 3 is already being whispered about like some cursed prophecy. If that is not peak Addams energy, what is?
