American singer Nicole Scherzinger has tried to calm the controversy against her regarding Donald Trump by issuing an apology. Wondering what the controversy is? Well, the singer has been facing backlash for a comment she made on English media personality Russell Brand's Instagram. Nichole had sparked controversy by commenting on a post where Russell was seen holding a red cap emblazoned with "Make Jesus First Again." The cap is being linked to supporters of President Donald Trump, as they usually wear these types of caps, and now it has led many to interpret her comment as politically agenda.
While apologising in an Instagram post yesterday, Nicole wrote she did not intend to align herself with any political agenda. Here's the apology she posted on her Instagram story on November 8:?
Despite her apology, Nichole is facing criticism on social media platforms like X. Have a look:
One of the X users wrote, "So disappointed in her. Will not go see the show now." Another user wrote, "I am truly disgusted. I mean if she believes in Jesus thatĄ¯s fine, but itĄ¯s clearly on a trump looking hat so thatĄ¯s suspiciousĄ" One more user who criticised her said, "It really canĄ¯t be a mistake that she didnĄ¯t know what she was doing. Everybody knows what that Maga hat means and represents. This has nothing to do with Jesus. This is all to do with mega. DonĄ¯t try to whitewash it. This is what she believes in."
This comes as Donald Trump has re-entered the White House as the 47th President of the United States. The Trump wave has taken over the internet as his supporters and haters, including celebrities, continue to engage in debate regarding their favourite leaders.
