Kamal Haasan Cancels Birthday Celebrations To Meet People Affected By Chennai Rains

Kamal Haasan has been quite vocal about his viewpoints on social media. No matter even if he has to face a lot of backlash for the same, the actor never shies away from saying what he feels. He even got involved into legal troubles but never has he ever taken a step back.

It’s his birthday today, and announcing his plans for birthday, Kamal wrote that he is cancelling celebrations. The veteran actor, instead, chose to visit medical camp to meet people affected by Chennai rains.

"This year he (Haasan) has decided not to celebrate his birthday while Chennai people are distressed by the rains. Instead he will be visiting a medical camp, set up by his Narpani Iyakkam (welfare movement) at Avadi," his spokesperson said.?

Furthermore, Kamal also tweeted about the same.?

Hassan, who has been hinting at his political foray, would be "reaching out to people with his special message and plans for the future," the spokesperson had said without divulging further details.

The actor has recently pledged to send about five lakh of his volunteers and supporters for refurbishment of water bodies in the wake of the torrential downpour and resultant waterlogging in parts of the state including Chennai.
