Marco, one of the most violent films of the year, hit the screens on December 20 and opened to a terrific response at the box office. It also received rave reviews with critics praising the presentation and performances. Riyaz Khan¡¯s fans, however, were left disappointed as his scenes did not make it to the theatrical version.? Marco¡¯s makers have, now, responded to the unexpected situation.?
Riyaz Khan, best known to the pan-India audience for his work in Aamir Khan¡¯s Ghajini, shot for Marco some time ago and this created a buzz in the industry. However, the actor¡¯s scenes are missing from the film. In a recent interview with Malayalam? media, producer Shareef Muhammed revealed that the scenes could not be retained because of issues with the censor board. He further assured fans that the deleted sequences will be added to Marco whenever it premieres on OTT.
¡°Riyaz¡¯s scenes will be there in OTT. We tried our maximum with the censor board, but they said they have their limitations. They have done what they could. So everyone should wait for the extended version,¡± he said.?
Riyaz Khan enjoys a strong following in Kerala. He has appeared in Malayalam films such as Casanovva, Simhasanam, and Mayamohini.?
Marco, featuring? Unni Mukundan as the titular character, is a thriller that deals with the events that take place when the protagonist embraces his violent side after a twist of fate.? Siddique, Rahul Dev, Jagadish, Anson Paul, and Sudev Nair play key roles in the film. The violent film is directed by Haneef Adeni, who rose to fame with Mammootty¡¯s The Great Father.?
