The internet is divided as well with a certain section of people supporting Will and calling out Chris for making a joke about the former's wife's medical condition. On the other hand, Will is facing heavy backlash for his actions.?
Michael was asked if he thinks Will should be stripped off his first Oscar, which he won minutes after losing his cool. To this, the filmmaker replied and told Fox News, " I don't know the rules. I don't know, but it was a little unlike Will. He's a great guy, I've never seen him mad. I just saw the clip. I'm not one to judge. He's just not an angry guy."
Michael said, "Chris was like ... I've gotta work with Chris in movies¡ I mean, I know Chris, and he handled it very well. That's why I wonder if it was set up, you know."
