The massive success of South Indian content in the North has triggered various discussions across the nation. Films like Pushpa: The Rise, RRR and the recent, KGF: Chapter 2 have performed exceptionally well in North India and various South actors have said that the focus should be on making 'pan-India' films.?
Amidst all this, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has a different point to raise. He says that had thought that after the pandemic when theatres re-opened, audience would have a refined taste when it came to films. However, the actor told NDTV that there has been a change indeed but it is for the worse.?
Further talking about the basis on which films are appreciated and criticised, he said, "When a film does well everyone joins in and praises it even more, if a film doesn't collect good money people criticise it more.
In an earlier interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui had appreciated South Indian industry for taking pride in their mother tongue and speak in either Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam or the language that is local to them on the film sets. The entire team is speaking in the same language. He also said that this creates a certain environment because everybody can understand what's going on.?
On the film front,?Nawazuddin Siddiqui?will next be seen in films like Heropanti 2, Noorani Chehra and Tiku Weds Sheru among others.?
