Mammootty, who recently suffered a setback when Dominic and the Ladies Purse failed to live up to expectations, is awaiting the release of Bazooka. The actioner, originally slated to release on February 14, will now hit the screens on April 10. The 'Megastar' shared the news on X (formerly known as Twitter).?

?According to Prashanth Rangaswamy, a critic and trade analyst, the delay is likely to benefit the biggie as it will benefit from the Vishu/Onam holidays.
¡°It might be beneficial for the movie as there will be holidays during that time. In fact, it is a good move. February is usually a dry season for the industry. If the content is commercial, the move will benefit them,¡± he told Indiatimes.?
Bazooka will be Mammootty's first release after Dominic and the Ladies Purse. The comedy drama, which hit the screens on January 23, opened to a good response but failed to reach its potential due to the mixed word-of-mouth. As such, he will be hoping to bounce back with Bazooka.?
Bazooka is an action thriller, directed by debutant Deeno Dennis. The film centres around the events that take place when two random strangers meet during a bus ride and one of them realises the other one is not an ordinary man. The cast is headlined by Mammootty, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Jagadish.?
