This opened the door for Vijay Sethupathi to add a new dimension to his career.

According to Manonabala Vijayabalan, a tracker and trade analyst, Kamal Haasan tried to help the contestants evolve during their journey on the show. However, Vijay Sethupathi adopted a different approach.?
¡°Vijay Sethupathi's approach to the game is completely different from the one Kamal Haasan has . Kamal is matured and connects with the audience. He ensures that the contestants evolve as better people. On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi has few such qualities. He sails through it,¡± he told Indiatimes.?
Ramesh Bala, another tracker, also expressed a similar opinion. He said that Vijay Sethupathi is ¡®doing a good job¡¯ but his equation with the contestants is quite different from the one Kamal Haasan shared with the participants during his tenure as host.?
¡°Kamal Haasan is a senior so his style was different. People were looking up to him. Vijay Sethupathi is a junior. As such, they treat him more like a friend,¡± he told Indiatimes.?
Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi is no stranger to anchoring. He previously hosted Namma Ooru Hero (2019) and the Tamil version of MasterChef India.?
Bigg Boss Tamil 8 premiered on Star Vijay and Disney+ Hotstar on October 6, 2024, with Vijay Sethupathi serving as the host. It featured several twists, revelations, and surprise eliminations. The show is set to end on January 19. The finalists are Muthukumaran, Pavithra Janani, Raayan, VJ Vishal, and Soundarya. The winner will walk away with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.?
