While the Indian music industry produces thousands of songs every year, hundreds of them are usually remakes and remixes. When that was not enough, music producers even source inspiration from overseas industries to create their hits. One such song is creating quite a buzz currently.
This has created a lot of resentment and disappointment among music lovers because why not. With hundreds of music producers, singers and lyricists, it¡¯s high time that Bollywood moves on from sourcing some existing hits to butter their bread. Here¡¯s a look at 15 times when Pakistani songs inspired Bollywood songs:-

This popular hit featuring Salman Khan and Malaika Arora made so many Indians groove to its beats. But do you know this song has been inspired by Pakistan¡¯s song named ¡®Larka Badnaam Hova Haseena Tere Liye¡¯ which appeared in Umar Sharif¡¯s 1992 film Mr Charlie?
Dancer Nora Fatehi made India groove to her moves with this song sung by Shreya Ghoshal but little did many people know that this song is also originally from Pakistan. Veteran singer Noor Jehan sang this song titled ¡®Zalim Coca Cola Peya De¡¯ way back in time.
This Meenakshi Seshadri and Jackie Shroff track from Subhash Ghai¡¯s from the movie Hero was a superhit track in India. Originally this song was a folk song belonging to legendary Pakistani singer Reshma who later sold rights for its Indian adaptation.
This Akshay and Raveena¡¯s peppy number was an adaptation from Ustad Nusrat Ali Khan¡¯s sufi song titled ¡®Dam Mast Mast¡¯. The song lived a journey from being a soulful qawwali to being a song filled with ¡®thumkas¡¯.
Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan put their dancing shoes on for this track from Love Aaj Kal. This song as well was inspired by Pakistani singer Shaukat Ali¡¯s global hit ¡®Kadi Ty Has Bol¡¯.
Madhuri Dixit made the world remember her stint with this song and genuinely how good was she in it. This dance number was also once a qawwali written in the 18th century by Baba Bulleh Shah and performed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on multiple occasions.?
The song which made all broken hearts cry for ages was also inspired by Noor Jehan¡¯s song Koi Nawaan Lara La Ke from the 1970 film Vichhora. The adapted song featured in the film Bewafa Sanam and the track was sung by Sonu Nigam.
Arjun Kapoor and Ileana DCruz¡¯s Mubarakan song Hawaa Hawaa was also a replica of Hassan Jahangir¡¯s Pakistani song Hawa Hawa. Well if you hear both of them, we doubt that you¡¯ll find any difference.
