After a kickass season 1 that gripped the entire nation after so long on the small screen, the makers have announced Shark Tank Season 2 and have released the first promo as well. The registration for entrepreneurs to seek investment via this show are now open. Here is all you need to know!
Announcing the same, a Shark Tank Season 2 promo has been shared by Sony Entertainment Television. The promo shows an employee trying to butter his boss to get some investors for his venture. When the cruel boss belittles him, the voiceover adds, "Stop knocking on the wrong door for investors. The new season of Shark Tank India is coming back after the big success of the first season."
In the caption of the promo, the channel revealed that last year the investors made Rs42 crore worth of investment in startups via the show. Last year, there were 85000 applicants.?
The channel has not yet made clear who the investors on the season will be. Will Ashneer Grover, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh, and Peyush Bansal return for this season as well? We'll have to wait for an update on this. Meanwhile, fans are hoping the OG investors return for season 2.?

In an interview with Raj Shamani for YouTube talk show Figuring Out, Ashneer Grover revealed how he was approached for Shark Tank India. "Sony had reached out to Venture Catalyst, an early-stage investor. The company had invested in BharatPe, and they received 80 times the amount as returns. So, Venture Catalyst gave Sony a list of 300 founders who were potential judges for the show that they could approach. After that, Sony did its own background research and then reached out to me."He also revealed why he said yes to Shark Tank India.?
"Since I didn't watch Shark Tank, I did not have the craze to be a part of Shark Tank India. I was told that investing was a part of it and I said yes to the show. I had a very good conversation with the showrunner, Bimal (Unnikrishnan) and there was this mutual sense of comfort. I also wanted to know who the other judges were because it was critical for me to sit with the right set of people."
