Sylvester Stallone Pays Emotional Tribute To Bruce Willis After His Retirement Announcement

Bruce Willis has been one of the finest actors of Hollywood and an integral part of all the 90's kids childhood. A couple of days back, the actor announced his retirement from acting due to his aphasia diagnosis.?

While fans are emotional over the news, actor Sylvester Stallone has a heartwarming message for Bruce Willis.

Sharing a couple of old pictures, Sylvester Stallone wrote how he and Bruce Willis 'go back a long way'. Most pictures shared are from the Expendables era and the others are even older, showcasing the two actors enjoying bike rides and whatnot.?

Sylvester Stallone captioned the pics, "We go back a long way , praying for the best for you and your wonderful family."

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and others came together for The Expendables, a multi-starrer film series that went on to become a blockbuster. The first instalment of the film released in 2010.

Talking about Bruce Willis' aphasia diagnosis, his family said in a statement, "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support.?We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him."

Aphasia is a disease that affects a person's cognitive abilities. A Reuters report quotes Brenda Rapp, a professor of cognitive science at Johns Hopkins University saying that it is?most commonly caused by a stroke that can also stem from head trauma or, in rare cases, from neurological disease.
