Mira Rajput Kapoor, wife of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, is known for her flawless skin and with her commitment towards skincare she recently launched her own skincare brand 'Akind'. As a skincare brand founder, Mira often shares her tips and insights on the importance of skincare. After her latest vacation, she shared an easy skincare routine that you can also adopt to nail those holiday clicks with a youthful glow to your skin.
While travelling, Mira shares that she likes to keep her kit minimal and fuss-free. She shares the importance of curating a travel kit of versatile products that work well in changing weather. Mira gives special attention to choosing products that provide protection from sun damage, perfect for an outdoorsy holiday. Here's a simple 4-step routine shared by Mira that you can follow on your holiday.
For the first step of her holiday skincare routine, Mira chooses a hydrating cleanser that works well with her skin in all kinds of weather. A good cleanser will clean your skin of all the dirt and grime without stripping off its natural oils.
Trying new foods is one of the biggest parts of any vacation but Mira mentions how eating out during a holiday results in breakouts. To deal with active acne and its resultant blemishes and marks, Mira opts for a lightweight serum with a watery consistency, perfect for layering products. She also shares that she chooses a serum that helps brighten her skin and contains ingredients like niacinamide, vitamin C, glycolic acid, and resorcinol.
Mira applies a hydrating moisturizer after her serum to lock in that moisture and let the serum absorb into her skin so that it can work its wonders. She opts for a moisturizer with ceramides and peptide complex that not only improves hydration but also helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Step 4: Sunscreen
This is a crucial step in any skincare regimen especially if you are on vacation and spending a great deal of time outdoors, and Mira definitely understands the importance of sunblock. She opts for a mattifying sunscreen with SPF 50 that doesn't get oily or leaves a white cast. Not just during the day, Mira also applies sunscreen in the evening under her makeup before stepping out.
Pro tip: As you know, when you are out and about your exposure to UV rays increases. This leads to the breakdown of active ingredients in your sunscreen which in turn makes it necessary for you to reapply your sunblock every two hours and even more frequently if you swimming or sweating. For easy application, Mira keeps a sunscreen stick with her at all times and applies it throughout the day.
With a few steps and minimal products, this simple skincare routine is all you need to get radiant clear skin just like Mira Rajput.
