Esther Shoebridge, from Beverly in East Yorkshire was a fit and independent 59-year-old. Apart from the occasional stiff neck and bodyache, she was a fitness freak and enjoyed long walks. In 2020, she went to the doctor to complain about her prolonged neck pain. None of the painkillers and rest seemed to help. Turned out, she had a fracture in her neck.
