But we understand that not everyone is a cocktail wizard and trying to find tropical ingredients for most classic cocktails is tough. Fret not!?
Here are 7 delicious recipes curated with an Indian twist to cool yourselves down amid soaring temperatures this summer season.?
Ingredients: 2 oz Tamarind concentrate, 1.5 oz tequila, 0.5 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz lemon juice, 0.75 oz sugar syrup, ginger, chilli salt (for rim), lime wedge and ice?
How to make:?
1. Make a ginger sugar syrup by mixing ? cup water with ? cup sugar and 1 tablespoon fresh ginger and boiling the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely.?
2. Make a tamarind puree by dissolving 4 tablespoons of tamarind in ? cup water.?
3. Pour the tamarind puree, triple sec, lime juice, tequila, and ginger simple syrup mix into a shaker filled with ice cubes and shakewell.?
4. Pour the margarita into a glass lined with chilli salt and garnish with a large lime wedge.?
Ingredients: 1 Chopped mango, 4 tbsp Greek yoghurt, 3 tsp sugar, 1.5 oz of dark rum, cardamom powder and ice?
How to Make:?
1. In a blender combine the yoghurt, mango, sugar, ice and rum and blend until smooth.?
2. Pour the mixture into a tumbler and garnish with some cardamom powder.?
Ingredients: 1.52 oz Gin, 0.51 oz sugar syrup, 0.17 oz lime Juice and 7-8 jamuns.?
How to Make:?
1. In a cocktail shaker muddle the jamuns and then add gin, sugar syrup and lime juice.?
2. Add ice and shake well.?
3. Double-strain the mixture into a martini glass lined with chilli salt for an extra kick.?
Ingredients: 2 oz whisky, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.65 oz masala chai simple syrup, 1 egg white, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, lemon and 3 dashes cherry bitters?
How to Make:?
1. Create a simple syrup using equal parts sugar and water.?
2. Add multiple tea bags, crushed cardamom, ginger, one cinnamon stick and a dash of bitters into a pot and bring to a boil. Remove the mixture from heat immediately and set aside to cool.?
3. Shake all the ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker until the egg white emulsifiers.?
4. Pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with dried lemon disk.?
Ingredients: 0.5 oz Rooh Afza, 0.65 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz lemon juice, 0.5 oz orange juice, 0.5 oz sugar syrup, 1.2 oz vodkaice cubes and an orange wedge (for garnish)
How to Make:?
?1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes, add all the ingredients and shake well.?
2. Double-strain the drink into a chilled cocktail glass?
3. Rub the rim of the glass lightly with the orange wedge and garnish with the same.?
Ingredients: 2 lemons, 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of sugar, a pinch of salt & cumin powder, 1/4 tsp of black pepper, 1/4 tsp of chaat masala, 2 oz of vodka, and a few ice cubes.?
How to Make:?
1. In a blender add vodka, lemon juice, water and sugar and blend until smooth.?
2. To the mixture add salt, cumin powder, black pepper and chaat masala and blend again.?
3. Strain the mixture into a glass and add additional ice cubes as per preference.?
Ingredients: 2 oz Gin, 1 oz lime juice, 1 oz cumin honey syrup (30g roasted cumin seeds and 500ml honey), black salt, chaat masala, 1/2 to 3/4 oz of tonic water, basil leaves and dehydrated orange (for garnish)?
How to Make:?
1. Add 250 ml of water to gently roasted cumin seeds and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and blend with 500 ml honey.?
2. Add all the ingredients except the tonic water into a cocktail shaker and shake well.?
3. Transfer the mixture to a glass and top it up with a splash of tonic water.?
4. Garnish it with basil leaves and dehydrated orange.?
