Diwali aka the 'Festival of Lights' is here! The auspicious festival is celebrated by participating in Lakshmi Puja and exchanging gifts with your friends and family. This is also the time to get dressed in your best ethnic wear and take those worthy selfies. While your clothes would most probably be sorted by now, what about your makeup look? Are you all set to wow your guests at tonight's Diwali bash? If not, we've got your back! We have some inspiration for you right from the feed of Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput.
On October 30th, Mira Rajput took to her Instagram account to share a sneak peek at the photo shoot during her pre-Diwali festivities by sharing a short clip of the photo sesh. The diva also shared several mirror selfies on her stories to give us a look at her stylish attire.
Dressed in a black organza cape with panel sharara from celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor's fashion label A&R which she had paired with a statement necklace from Jaipur-based?The Gem Palace, Mira stole our hearts with her elegant ensemble.
Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Mira's glowing makeup with glossy lips was the perfect addition to her heavily embellished attire. If you too are looking for a simple yet glamorous makeup look to pair with your outfit of the night, scroll down to see how can achieve Mira's makeup look effortlessly.
To achieve Mira's look, use a glow-boosting moisturise for your base. If you have pigmentation then layer it with a foundation and if not a light coverage CC cream would do! Now pick a shimmering gold or silver eyeshadow for your eyelids, depending on the tone of your outfit. If you are looking for that glow-from-within look, you can choose a highlighter for this as well. Use a hint of kajal on the waterline to tie your eye makeup together and top it off with a coat of mascara on the lashes.
Define your eyebrows with a brow pencil and add a bit of bronzer to the high points of your face for that sun-kissed look. Apply a soft blush on the apples of your cheeks and highlight your cheekbones and other high points of the face like the bridge of the nose, cupid's bow and your brow bones. In the end, round off your shimmery look with a nude-hued lip gloss and spritz a makeup setting spray.
While this soft glam look will pair with any attire, if you are wearing a bright colour, you can replace a nude shade with vibrant lipstick alternatively. While Mira opted to leave her hair open, you can also go for an updo and decorate it with flowers like gajra to add a desi touch to your Diwali look.
