In the recent weeks, there has been a surge of whispers and speculation surrounding Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales. It all began following her surgery on January 16, sparking curiosity among royal watchers.
The intrigue heightened as Kate remained hospitalised for an extended period, prompting questions and fueling online chatter. In response to mounting speculation, Kensington Palace announced that Kate would not be undertaking any royal duties until after Easter 2024, scheduled for March 31.
However, the absence of photographs documenting her departure from the hospital only served to intensify the speculation, leading to the emergence of various conspiracy theories.
Despite the palace's efforts to quash the rumours, the lack of information has only fuelled the rumour mill, with social media becoming a hotbed of speculation and conspiracy theories.
Adding to the speculations, Spanish journalist Concha Calleja made waves by suggesting that Kate's condition might be more serious than officially stated. During her television show, Calleja claimed to possess insider information indicating that Kate was facing grave danger, alleging that she had been placed in a medically-induced coma due to complications arising from the surgery.
One viral post on X, viewed over six million times, questioned the narrative given the Duchess's history of quick public post-childbirth appearances. It suggested a ¡°sinister" undertone to the prolonged recovery and sudden respect for privacy by the British press.
¡°You're telling me that Kate Middleton¡ªthe same woman who posed outside the hospital like a freaking supermodel mere hours after giving birth¡ªsuddenly requires months of recovery before showing her face? And the British press now magically respects privacy? This feels...sinister," the post read.
Some further suggested that she has been recovering from a Brazilian buttock lift while others said she must be growing out bangs or grappling with a hair colour disaster, anyway the theories have us believing that she's everywhere but nowhere.
X (formerly Twitter) users have also considered her to have channelled her inner Disney princess era and enrolled into ¡°the princess protection program¡± (referring to the Demi Lovato-Selena Gomez starrer 2009 film). Or could she be prepping for a bombshell ¡°reveal on Masked Singer¡±?
With all said and done, another tweet has also kicked off a nostalgic heartbreak, reporting of the One Direction reunion. The 1D boys are supposedly now off ¡°wandering around London singing the 2010s classic hit ¡°What Makes You Beautiful¡± in the hope they can find her¡±.
