Missed your chance to visit the iconic Amrit Udyan at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this February? Here's another chance for you to feast your eyes by visiting the lush floral haven this year. 'Amrit Udayan: Summer Annuals Edition', which is the garden's season re-opening was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu on August 14th and will be open to all visitors from today, aka August 16th till September 15th.
The lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan have now been expanded to cover 15 acres and will be open to all from the month from 10 am to 6 pm every day except Mondays.?A perfect getaway for all nature lovers, this magnificent garden is home to a diverse variety of flora and is an expertly designed green space smack dab in the middle of Delhi.
The expansive gardens in the Presidential Estate are bifurcated into several gardens such as the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden and are comprised of an assortment of themed gardens such as 'Arogya Vanam', Bonsai Garden, Tactile Garden and two separate Herbal Gardens.
To avoid any inconvenience you can pre-book the tickets online from Rashtrapati Bhavan's official website. Similarly to facilitate easier travel for all visitors the Delhi Metro services will start from 4 am onwards at all terminal stations. Keep in mind, that the Rashtrapati Bhavan has very tight security arrangements that include heavy police presence as well as AI-based facial recognition cameras.
Additional Information: On the occasion of National Sports Day (August 29) and Teacher's Day (September 5), sportspersons and teachers will get special access to the lawns as well as the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. Additionally, schoolchildren will get free access to the museum throughout the month.
