The state police have arrested 13 people and registered an offence against around 22 others for gathering at one place for prayers in Pimpri Chinchwad area in Maharashtra despite the ongoing lockdown.?
The police said, They are all residents of Kudalwadi area.?
The Senior Officer said, ¡°Around 35 people had gathered for prayers on the terrace of a building on 27 March. After we received information about it, we launched an inquiry."?
He further added ¡°After the investigation, we arrested 13 people, but arrested them on bail.¡±
Along with these 13 people, an offence was registered against around 22 others under IPC sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and also under the Disaster Management Act, and the Epidemic Diseases Act at Chikhali Police Station, he said.?

According to the reports, Indian coronavirus cases are increasing each day, currently India has 10,71 cases and 29 deaths. The police is working closely to protect and aware people about the lockdown. The lockdown was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 24 for the whole country.?
