With the announcement of JEE Advanced results, joy filled homes across India. However, the region echoing the loudest cheers (and tears of happiness) is Madras, boasting the highest number of students qualifying in the JEE (Advanced) this year, with an impressive count of 11,180 qualifiers.
This year, a whopping 11,180 candidates from the Madras zone passed the JEE (Advanced) exam.?
Among them, four secured spots in the top 5, 25 in the top 100, 53 in the top 200, and 145 in the top 500.?
Meanwhile, the topper of JEE Advanced 2024 - Ved Lahoti - belonged to the IIT Delhi zone.

This year's JEE (Advanced) results have seen the highest scores in the last 15 years, as reported by sources.
B Pavan Kumar, deputy director of FIITJEE, Chennai, highlighted the simplified nature of math and physics questions and the flexibility of the answer key released by IIT Madras.
Kumar noted a significant increase in the average marks of the top 10 students, rising to 91.4% from the usual 84%-85% over the past 15 years.
He also mentioned the increasing qualifying marks for the exam: 17.5% in 2021, 15.27% in 2022, 23.89% in 2022, and 30.3% in 2024.
Out of the 1,80,200 candidates who appeared in papers 1 and 2 of JEE (Adv) 2024, 48,248, including 7,964 women, qualified.
