The Central Board for Secondary Examination (CBSE) will re- conduct the Class XII Economics and Class X Mathematics examinations after it was reported that the board papers have been leaked.
The CBSE Class 12 Accountancy exam's question paper was leaked on March 15 via messaging app WhatsApp.
The question paper reportedly matches set II of the CBSE's Accountancy question paper. Meanwhile, CBSE said that an expert committee will investigate how the leak occurred.?
"The board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to uphold the sanctity of the Board Examinations and in the interest of the fairness to the students, the Board has decided to reconduct the examinations in the following subjects. Dates for fresh examinations and the other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week," said the statement released by the Board with the signature of the Controller of Examinations.
Reports said the Class X Maths Paper that was conducted today was also leaked on Tuesday night.
CBSE has said that it would probe the paper leak.
"Meanwhile some teachers, parents and students are planning to move the Delhi High Court seeking re-exam and an independent probe on the leaks. The parents and students claim that even the class X Social studies and class XII biology exam were also leaked among others", reports The Times Of India.
The dates of the exam will be announced soon.
The CBSE is yet to clarify if the re-exam will be for Delhi region or all India, more reports emerged today that the Class X Maths paper was being circulated on Tuesday night in other regions as well.
