On the day when the Mumbai sun had an agenda to roast each and every Justin Bieber fan, the most-awaited ¡®Justin Bieber Purpose Tour¡¯ happened. I, along with a colleague went with an open mind to witness how a Canadian singer would battle the Mumbai heat without throwing a tantrum. The joke was on us because we were the ones who hopped from gate to gate of the famous D.Y. Patil stadium to catch a glimpse of the singer of whom we aren¡¯t even fans of.
To be honest, we weren¡¯t expecting a massive crowd because hey, who wants to get fried under May sun just to see Bieber? Turns out, a lot of people. Obviously chaos happened, and Justin even said ¡®Sorry.¡¯ I mean he sang ¡®Sorry¡¯ and everything was fine.
Here¡¯s an honest account of what happened at the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour which took place on May 10.?
P.s.- I am being so honest here that I don't feel ashamed to confess that I know only of two of his songs ¨C ¡®Baby¡¯ and ¡®Sorry¡¯.?

Fans from the age group of 12 to 20 flocked the stadium in ¡®Purpose tour¡¯ t-shirts. They sang ¡®Sorry¡¯ while waiting in the queues, posed with ¡®I love Justin¡¯ placards, while their parents were slyly grinning witnessing their love for the singer.

People used the opportunity to make money by selling a small bottle of water at Rs 100! People were buying because they were helpless and wanted to quench their thirst (obviously) We tried to complain how unfair this was but the sellers did not budge.

That's usually the case at these dos isn't it?!?

You know what happens when young ¡®ones¡¯ assemble in huge groups. We were seated beside a group of guys who were constantly checking out girls. ¡®Woh pink waali dekh¡¯, ¡®Nahi tu woh red waali dekh¡¯ was what we could hear them shout.
Because the lineup wasn¡¯t that interesting and people only wanted to watch Bieber. It was nothing like Coldplay where people were waiting hours and even a day for the concert to begin.
Can you spot DJ Walkzz? No??
People went crazy only during two songs ¨C ¡®Faded¡¯ and ¡®Where Are You Now¡¯. The Norwegian music producer, who was dressed in a hoodie tried to woo the audience for two hours. However, only a certain section of the audience who enjoyed EDM were grooving to his music, while others who didn¡¯t know who he was, yawned!
We were expecting him to show up on stage at 9, but he arrived at 8pm sharp. Full marks for punctuality. Dressed in Bermuda shorts and a loose t-shirt, we felt as if Bieber was rushed on stage, leaving him no time to dress up for the event. He casually walked on stage and did a ¡®namaste¡¯ and then continued lip-syncing.
To be honest, we were so far away from the singer that we wouldn¡¯t even have noticed if he¡¯d removed his shirt on stage. But people who were near him noticed that he was lip-syncing. I mean, what else can you expect from someone who doesn¡¯t bother to throw away his chewing gum while being on stage?

A squeak and a scream was heard throughout the concert. Girls did not stop screaming "I love you Justin" during the entire concert. There was never a silent, awkward moment in the crowd as someone or the other screamed his name.
The crowd went crazy when he said "I¡¯ll be back". But guess what people, he says that in every tour. In Puerto Rico, Lisbon and anywhere he goes. So that¡¯s just a way of wooing the crowd.
That was so random.
okthanxbye india!
The way he hugged his dance crew showed that he was eager to go home. Unlike Chris Martin who took his sweet time to croon with Rahman and sing ¡®Channa Mereya¡¯.

After the concert, D.Y.Patil stadium was a mess. People waited on the roads for hours for their cars, whereas public transport was gone all for a toss. Isn¡¯t it unfair that Justin gets to unwind in a Jacuzzi after the show, while each one of his ¡®fans¡¯ had to scream "taxi," "rickshaw," at the top of their voices to get home? Life is so unfair.
