The chilly weather and fog currently enveloping North India are anticipated to persist?during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Despite the challenging weather in the region, there is a glimmer of hope for Ayodhya as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a slightly better situation compared to other parts of north-west India, such as Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana.
The IMD predicts that Ayodhya will experience a low temperature of 6-8ˇăC and a high of 15-17ˇăC on January 22.
IMD's forecast, issued on Thursday at 10 am, suggests a potential improvement in the weather conditions for the holy city. The maximum temperature could reach 22.2 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature could be 10.6 degrees Celsius on the consecration day.
It is anticipated that there will be no precipitation on the day of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, with shallow to moderate fog in the morning. Later, the sky will clear up with mainly clear skies.
On January 19, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) launched a dedicated webpage offering weather forecasts for Ayodhya in anticipation of the scheduled Ram temple consecration ceremony on January 22.
The webpage aims to provide accurate and timely weather information for Ayodhya and its surroundings, facilitating effective event planning for attendees and organisers.
Visitors can check the IMD website for the latest updates on the weather for round-the-clock updated information.
Arun Yogiraj, the Mysuru sculptor who created the Ram Lalla idol for the historic Ram temple in Ayodhya, has been invited to the Pran Prathista ceremony on January 22. However, his family members have not received invitations.
Arun's family wanted to attend the Ayodhya ceremony but reportedly didn't receive an invitation. However, they were happy when Arun's sculpture was chosen for the temple.
Vijetha shared, "He never told me the news that his idol was selected. I learned it through the media. He gave it his 100% and did a lot of research for the work. I am very happy."
The idol of Ram Lalla was transported to the temple and lowered into the sanctum sanctorum using a crane. It is a five-year-old idol of Lord Rama and represents an incarnation of God.
A 150-200 kg granite idol of Ram Lalla was ceremoniously brought to the temple amidst lively celebrations. Reports suggest that it may be installed in the shrine today.
