In a shocking incident, which also sheds light on the grim healthcare situation in remote areas of Bihar, doctors were forced to treat patients in the emergency ward using mobile phone lights due to no electricity.
The incident took place in the Sasaram district.
At least four people were injured in group clashes and were brought to the trauma centre at the hospital for treatment.
Dr Brijesh Kumar of Sadar Hospital told news agency ANI that power cuts are frequent.
"Due to some issues, there are frequent power cuts in the hospital. We have to deal with such a situation every day," he said.

The problem of power cuts in Bihar isn't surprising, even at the hospitals, that are expected to have 24x7 power supply.
In March, a road accident victim was operated on under mobile lights due to a power cut at the hospital.
The incident took place at Sadar Hospital in Gopalganj. According to reports, a youth had sustained grave injuries in a road accident after which he was admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital.
The doctors kept waiting for electricity to start treatment. Eventually, they operated on the victim in the mobile light.
In March 2018, a road accident victim who was operated under torchlight at Saharsa¡¯s Sadar Hospital in Bihar succumbed to her injuries.
The family and relatives of the woman have accused the hospital administration of negligence and held the hospital responsible for her death. The mourning relatives said, ¡°We hold the administration and their negligence responsible for her death.¡±
Reports suggest that since the patient needed immediate attention due to the accident, she had to be operated there and then. The doctors then decided to go ahead with the operation with torchlight since there was a power cut in the hospital that day.
