Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader is also probably the world's most famous refugee. The 14th Dalai Lama who fled Tibet in 1959 has been living in India along with thousands of his followers all these years. Given this background, it is quite ironic that out of all people imaginable Dalai Lama has a warning about refugees.?

Speaking to BBC, the Tibetan spiritual leader claimed that Europe could become 'Muslim or African' if refugees who have been taken in are not then sent back to their home countries.
Europe should take them in and offer them education and training. But ultimately, he said, the migrants should return to "their own land," with only "a limited number" allowed to stay on the continent.

"The whole of Europe (will) eventually become Muslim country? Impossible. Or African country? Also impossible," he said, adding that it's better to "keep Europe for Europeans." he said.?
Incidentally, this is not the first time Dalai Lama has made such remarks about refugees. He had made a similar comment last year too, which had come under criticism.
Dalai Lama also touched upon another topic that he had earlier courted controversy for - his successor.
When asked about the possibility of a woman successor, the 83-year-old reiterated his previous comment ¡°If a female Dalai Lama comes, she should be more attractive.¡±?
