The state department of archaeology and museums reported that the statues of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi were discovered while a local doctor was using a big machine to dig on his land for a well.?
The statues have been taken to the laboratory for more research and officials mentioned that the precise age of the statues will be confirmed after a thorough investigation.
The archaeology department will use science to find out exactly how old they are, says deputy director of the state department of archaeology and museums, Banani Bhattacharyya.
