Until June 23, a total of 1076 people have succumbed to H1N1 virus in this country this year while 26, 140 are affected by the virus, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Friday.
Rajasthan remained the most affected state with a total number of 5,021 cases and 205 cases, the Ministry said in Lok Sabha. Maharashtra witnessed second highest number of deaths with 189 people losing their lives as a total of 1692 cases were reported.?

A total of 4772 people were infected by the virus in Gujarat and 149 people died whereas Madhya Pradesh reported 145 deaths and? 653 cases were reported followed by Karnataka with 87 deaths and 1736 cases. The news agency ANI reported.
