Terming it as an "indefensible verdict" Swaraj warned Pakistan to "consider the consequences" of the case on its relations with India.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh speaking in the Lok Sabha said Islamabad's actions were akin to a kangaroo court and accused the country of denying consular access to Jadav.?
"All the norms of law and justice were disregarded by Pakistan," Singh said.?

He added that Pakistan has failed to produce any evidence to link Jadav with spying.?
"He (Jadhav) had a small business in Chabahar, Iran. Pakistani security agencies kidnapped him and presented him to the country as an Indian spy. As proof, they said Jadhav has an Indian passport. How can he be a spy and carry an Indian passport."
The opposition too threw its weight behind the government in condemning the verdict.?
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said "Countries that finance Pakistan should realise that Pakistan can do this to them too."
MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi called upon the government to use international influence to discredit Pakistan.
Jadav, a retired Indian Navy officer is said to have been arrested by Pakistani agencies in March 2016, from its insurgency-hit province of Balochistan. India, however, maintains he was abducted from Chabahar port in Iran, where Jadav had a business.?
