A poignant example comes from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a female student has appealed to her teacher for passing marks. She expressed that failing would result in her parents compelling her into an unwanted marriage.?
Recently, a female student from Jabalpur made an unusual plea to her exam invigilator which took him by surprise.
She asked him to grant her passing marks in the English exam. While that itself isn't surprising or uncommon, the reason behind it was.?
It was in order to avoid an impending marriage.?
As per media reports, the student voiced concerns that not succeeding in the English exam might lead to her parents arranging a suitor for her and getting her married off.?
She asserted that her parents had issued ultimatums to discontinue her education in case she fails in her exam, which has compelled her to appeal to her teacher for leniency.?

In Class 12, a candidate has to pass in five subjects of external exam as per scheme of studies to be declared pass in addition to internal subject.?

Further, a candidate who has qualified class 10th or12th CBSE exam, may appear for improvement in one or more subjects but in the succeeding year only.? ??
