In a tragic incident, a father-son duo from Madhya Pradesh lost their lives a few minutes apart, in two different train mishaps.
The incident happened in a village in Hoshangabad, 150km from Bhopal on Thursday midnight.
The wife of 36-year-old Chhotelal Vishwakarma, a carpenter by profession had left him and was living with her parents for the past few months.
On Thursday night too the couple fought on the phone after which Chhotelal left his home in Marupura village and went straight to a railway track nearby.
He then jumped in front of an approaching train, killing him on the spot.
His 60-year-old father Mohanlal Vishwakarma had run behind Chhotelal in an attempt to prevent him from taking the extreme step, but he couldn't.
The body of Chhotelal was cut into pieces by the train and his elderly father was left shocked at the sight.
The grieving father then tried to collect the shattered body parts of his son from the railway track.
But he fell unconscious on the track and was hit by another approaching train.
Mohanlal who suffered serious head injuries was found by some locals who took him to a hospital. But it was too late and he was declared dead on arrival.
After being informed Government Railway Police went to the spot and collected the scattered body parts of Chhotelal.
Following the death, family members of the father and son told the police that Chhotelal who had been married for 11 years and had two children was under considerable mental stress after his wife left him a couple of months ago.
